Take Your Calcium Daily!
By Chocollette onVowing to take better care of my health this year, I asked my doctor for recommendations of vitamins that I should take. She suggested that everyone should take a multi vitamin and to also incorporate calcium with vitamin D (especially women) in their daily intake of vitamins. She stressed taking calcium because we as women generally do not consume enough calcium on a daily basis and that this will help prevent osteoporosis and strengthen bones.
I had heard good things about the Nature Made brand so decided to try their new calcium with vitamin D liquid softgels.I do not have problems swallowing regular tablets but do prefer the ease of a geltab. This was extremely easy for me to swallow because there was no after taste.
My doctor also recommended that I should take at least 1000 mg a day and each of these softgels is 600 mg.The bottle suggests taking two softgels a day so I started slowly by taking one a day but now I do take this twice a day.
My hope is that by taking this and also my multi vitamin (along with eating right and exercising) that I will live a very long time to enjoy my son grow up!I dostrongly recommend this brand.

I have used Nature Made vitamins, they have a good reputation for quality. I haven't taken their calcium pills, I have been taking another brand. The softgel appeals to me, sometimes I have trouble swallowing the larger vitamins. Thanks for the info.
May I offer? Be watchful for what "kind" of calcium you're taking. All that is "produced" isn't necessarily good for you, especialy women. sadly enough as a statement of the greed in the "health industry" "calcium carbonate" is the most prolific, and potentialy the most harmful. Your greatest source is from green leafy vegs(spinach, etc., non-bovine dairy, have you researched coral calcium(another "snake oil" rich enviroment/be careful)? All of these are greatly more bio-available for human bodies to absorb/use.
