Take Your Show on the Road

Reviewing: Best Expandable Car Clothes Bar
Purchased at: Walmart     Price: $12.00 USD

I loan this to friends as much as I use it myself, but when it is needed I am sure glad to have one.

Use it on road trips, business trips, taking clothes to Goodwill, or going to the cleaners. If you need to help somebody move out fast in the middle of the night this is what you want.

This expandable clothes bar can be kept in the trunk of your car at its storage length of 36 inches - it can be expanded to about 62 inches so it will fit even most of the widest cars and SUVs. About 29 inches of the rod is covered with a soft rubber coating and has three dividers to keep clothes from slipping.

Each end of the rod has two different types of connectors which can attach to your car's garment hook, safety grab handles, or if necessary over the back windows. The two pieces of the rod will rotate allowing different types of connections being made on each side of the car. It is very easy to install and remove - no tools are required.

This clothes bar is made of very sturdy materials.I have had mine for several years without experiencing any problems. The reason I am ranking it a '3' on durability is that a friend of mine had one of the plastic end pieces break off (but it could still be used with the metal loop).

The most important thing to consider when buying an auto clothes bar is what you will be hooking it to on each side of the car.

I have seen these in my customer's cars - pretty cool if you are on the road a lot.

Nice that it's adaptable for several ways to fasten it.

Nice...is this available in your common corner lot convenience store?

This particular one, I have only seen at Walmart. Its flexibility in accommodating different types of hooks and handles is quite good.

This is very cool. I hate having to try to stuff all of the hanger handles into the little hooks in the car.
