Talking Birthday Cards By April on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My two-year-old son is obsessed with Spider-Man. It does not matter if I were to give him a picture from a magazine or a toy character, he wants to have it. Since his birthday is coming up, I knew the only card I could purchase would be Spider-Man. So down the card aisle I went, trying to find the perfect Spider-Man card for a young boy. I found the normal kid friendly cards, but only one Spider-Man, which was an age card. It was not for age 3. I looked a little deeper and found the card I had to buy buried in the musical cards. On the front cover, which is yellow, is Spider-Man in all his glory. You open the card up and he talks to the birthday child. "Happy Birthday superhero, you deserve it!" is what kept coming out of this card. And it even sounds like Tobey Maguire, so my son may believe it really is Spider-Man wishing him a Happy Birthday. While the price was a bit steep, $4.99, the card was Hallmark, which showed I was sending the very best to my son.
