Let me get this statement out of the way first- any movie with Will Ferrell in it will make me laugh. It's true. I just get his humor, and find him to be hilarious. However, I realize that he may not have the same effect on everyone.
This movie is rate PG-13 for crude and sexual humor, language, drug references, and brief comic violence. It runs 108 minutes, so it doesn't wear out its welcome- it is entertaining from the time you start until the movie ends.
This is what I like to call "stupid humor" at its best- Ferrell plays Ricky Bobby, a NASCAR driver who is in competition with Sacha Baron Cohen (of Borat fame). Ricky Bobby is in a wreck that threatens his career in racing. Sounds dramatic, right? Not exactly. Ferrell and Cohen, along with John C. Reilly's character add eccentricities to the characters that had me in stitches.
There are outtakes and deleted scenes included in this DVD, which are my favorites bonus features. I absolutely recommend seeing this movie- especially if you are a NASCAR fan, a Will Ferrell fan, or just like to laugh.
