Reviewing: Tamrac Adventure 7 Backpack
Purchased at: B & H     Price: $67.50 USD

With my new photography hobby, I have been collecting everything from my digital SLR, to 3 lenses, lens hoods, filters, and numerous other accessories. The next logical step was purchasing a camera bag to carry all my new equipment, and after much online research, I went with the Tamrac Adventure 7 backpack.

I chose a backpack specifically for comfort; I have used other traditional bags with just a shoulder strap in the past, and if I carried them all day, it made my shoulder sore. When I got the Tamrac bag, the first thing I noticed was just how comfortable it is to wear- the 2 shoulder straps are both padded very well, and they are ergonomically shaped to give even more comfort. There is also a sternum harness and a waist harness that are included for if you are out hiking, and while I don't know that I will use them often, I think it is a nice touch.I do like that the straps are all adjustable too, because I am 5'1", and my husband is 6'2", and we can both adjust the bag to fit comfortably.

The Adventure 7 is a nice size bag, and I love the design- the bag unzips in the middle, and the top half can be used like a regular backpack- you can put snacks, maps, or whatever else you might need.It isn't a large space though, but it does have a mesh pocket inside which is nice. The bottom half is to store 4 lenses and a camera body.At first I thought there wasn't enough room, because it is a tight squeeze to fit all those things in depending on the lens size, but after putting it all in, I think that may be better, because nothing moves around once it is in.The bag is very padded on the sides and the bottom, so I feel very safe storing my photo equipment in this bag.

The front compartment has lots of little storage compartments for accessories, which is easy to access. There are also 2 side mesh pockets for more accessories, or even a water bottle. All in all, you can fit a fairly large amount of photo equipment into this backpack, plus a few personals, which is super convenient, especially for long photo shoots or vacations.

A nice bonus to the Tamrac Adventure 7 backpack is that it LOOKS nice!It doesn't scream "camera bag,"which I see as a definite plus when you are on vacation. It comes in a few color choices, which is a nice change from basic black.I really am very happy with this purchase, and I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

This is really good information about this pack. It sounds really practical for a more serious photo buff.
