Tandil Premium Laundry Detergent By ladibug on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We began shopping at Aldi's a few years ago to save money. The store itself is amazing, even Walmart's prices pale in comparison. My husband is a diesel mechanic by trade, so you can imagine the dirt and grease I deal with in my washing machine! I was skeptical at first that a store brand detergent could live up to the standards that Tide had set in my laundry room. Tandil more than did its job, and saved me money to boot!
Even if you don't have serious stains to contend with, Tandil can still impress. It even removes the "Carolina Clay" dirt my children bring home on their clothes. Compared to other name brand detergents, Tandil is cheaper and it is double concentrated, with the 100oz. size washing around 64 loads of laundry for under $7.00. Try to do that with the more expensive brands!
I have bought many of the "off-brands" in my quest to save money, and been disappointed, usually with my clothes being no more clean than before I washed the. I was pleasantly surprised with Tandil, and I think you will be, too!
Aldi's Supermarket Tandil Premium Laundry Detergent Purchased at: Aldi's Price: $6.99

I wish I lived closer to an Aldi's I would love to shop there.
We don't have an Aldi's near us, I wish we did.
We just tried Tandil for the first time in the HE (silver cap) version for $6.99. We've been using Purex which seems to work fine but are paying around $8 for the same amount of loads (64). The Tandil smells nice--at first I thought tropical, but my husband commented "Green apple!" and I agree that's the scent. We use it in conjunction with Suavatel Sunshine (yellow bottle) scent and our clothes smell great. We do have a great Kenmore Oasis HE washer tho, and I think that washer has made the difference. I used to make my own homemade detergent (powdered: Fels Naptha, washing soda, borax, baking soda and esential oils) but it's too time consuming and this is cheap and easy. Phosphate-free, recycle your bottle when you're done!
