I use this backpack sometimes as an alternative to my daily backpack for work. I like the space and compartment available. The padding is thick enough to protect the laptop which is up to 15.4 inch large. I like the music player storage since I listen to music on the go all the time. With that secure and soft compartment for my music player, I could bring it everywhere I go. However, the shoulder strap is too thin for the size and weight of the backpack. Hence, it makes my shoulder uncomfortable and sore after an extended period of time. The price was also a bit expensive for me for the design but the built quality was above average. So it is really a trade-off. I would pay a little bit more for a better design and well-built Targus backpack if I can choose again.
