Tat Wax?
By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Oct 15, 2011I am in no way an expert on tattoo's, in fact I have only one. I had a clover with 5 stars surrounding it put on my ankle. The clover represents my oldest son, who was born on St. Patrick's Day, and the 5 starts represents my youngest son, born on July 5th.
When I got this tattoo I was told I really needed to buy this tat Wax they were selling for $8.00 and it was in this little bitty 1 ounce can, just a little bigger than a quarter.
Later on I found out that it is basically the same thing as A&D Ointment.
Now, overall it did a great job as far as keeping my skin from drying out and flaking too bad. And as long as I kept it moist it did not feel uncomfortable at all, and after about a week it was great on its own without anything other than my normal lotion I put on after my showers.
I guess it is just a matter of personal choice or preference of weather you want to spend $8.00 on this one ounce can or just go with the A&D.
My husband and I both got our one and only tattoo's at the same time and the can is still almost full, so a little does go a long way.
Update On May 21, 2008: Probably one of the most important things about this product I forgot to tell you about..
It is made from all natural products! You simply apply it to the tattoo several times a day for the first 7 to 10 days afterward.
