Tdk 4.7 Gb 4 X Dvd Rw Blank Media By John Gugie on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
These TDK Systems DVD-RW discs work well for me. Some users have said that these say DVD-RW on them but are really DVD+RW, which won't write and/or read in some DVD burners or DVD players. I guess I lucked out bcause these work fine in my DVD burner, DVD ROM drive, and my standalone DVD player. So, keep ths in mind when buying these. If they don't work, return them because they're probably mislabeled.
Most current DVD-RW media write at slower 1x-4x speeds, so these 4x speeds are par for the course. Burning a full disc can take about 15-20 minutes.
What it lack in burning speed, it makes up with its being ability to be rewritten many times.
These are perfect for computer backups when your computer needs to be reformatted or transferring big chunks of data to another computer. It's also great for movies that you only want to watch once. The possibilities are endless.
DVD-RW media is perfect when you have data that you don't want to store permanently. TDK is a medium quality brand of discs that aren't for everyone but they work for me.
I usually buy these in spindles of 25 because I don't need to use them often and be rewriteable, I can use one disc several times.

I have not gotten into creating my own DVDs, but sure hope to at some point, so I'm going to be really grateful for the information you have supplied about some of the various kinds that are on the market. Thanks.
I don't think we have tried these yet, thanks for the info.
Thank you for the in depth information on these discs. I use these rarely and like to hear from those who have a bit more experience than I.
