Teavana 2 cup Perfect Teamaker
By TeaGirl onThe Teavana 2 cup Perfect Teamaker is a great way to brew loose tea with little fuss. It brews 16 oz of tea, and works in a really interesting way. You add a teaspoon of loose tea, add water, and let it brew. Now is when it gets really cool - you place the brewer atop your cup, which presses little levers on the bottom of the tea maker, and the tea is strained through a metal mesh strainer inside the container, and your tea is poured through the bottom into your cup. You then lift the tea maker off your cup and presto - the flow stops without a drip. The TeaMaker is dishwasher safe and very durable. I find that it brews a bit faster than traditional preparation - I don't know if it's that all the water has to strain through the tea, not just what steeps out of the bag in a traditional teabag. So be aware of how long is too long to brew your tea - if traditional brewing time is three minutes, pour yourself a little bit after two minutes to see if it is to your taste, and adjust accordingly.

I have one of these and love it. So easy to use and quick cleanup! And a good tip about testing the brew time. I overdid some white tea a couple of days ago :(
