Temporal Artery Thermometer
By bigchrista2 onI bought a temporal scanner thermometer for kids who age ranges between 2 and 10. I liked the thought of the temporal thermometer because I have seen it used at my children's pediatric office, I saw how quick and easy it took thier tempature. I have to say..the thermometer works great for at night time when my sick child is sleeping. I don't have to wake my child up,to stick a thermometer in thier mouth at 2 o'clock in the morning. I just press a button and hold it down while I scan it across thier forehead while they are sleeping. The only down side I have had is with the accuracy. I'll scan my sick chilld's forehead and come up with a reading then scan the back of thier ear (as instructed in the temporal scanner hand book) and come with a degree and a half different then the forehead reading. There have been times when I question if my child was running a 101. or a 102.6.I would not recommend the temporal scanner because of it's acucracy but for it's convience it's great!
