Tha Carter 3 By js11 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Tha Carter 3 was highly anticipated because of Lil Wayne's recent rise to superstardom as a result of his guest appearances and successful mixtape series such as The Drought and Dedication series. As a huge Lil Wayne fan I have to say it was about as good a rap album as there can be. It had the perfect blend of tracks for club goers, radio listeners, and avid mixtape fans. Songs like Lollipop and Got Money appeal to everyone, whereas dedicated mixtape listeners appreciate tracks like Let the Beat Build and Nothin on Me Featuring Fabolous and Juelz Santana. The fact that it sold over 1 million copies in its first week only reaffirms my initial impressions of the album, as one of the best of all time in the hip hop world.
