For christmas a couple years ago, i asked my mom for an alarm clock because my old one had broke. But, i just got an iPod and thought it might be fun to just have speakers so i don't have to have earplugs in all the time since they hurt my ears. So I got the iHome in black and it broke after i spilled a glass of orange juice on it. But then i got another one in white. This isn't just speakers for your iPod. It's also a radio, and alarm clock. You can wake up to your favorite song on you iPod, or the radio station you like, or just a buzzer. It's compatible with the ipod mini(4GB, 6GB), the ipod 4th gereation (in color or not 20GB, 30GB, 40GB, 60GB ), 1st generation nano(1GB, 2GB, 4GB), 5th generation video (30GB, 60GB, 80GB), ipod 2nd generation nano (2GB, 4GB, 8GB), ipod classic (80GB, 160GB), ipod nano 3rd generation, ipod touch (1st generation, 2nd generation), ipod nano chromatic 4th generation (in video or not, 8GB, 16GB). All in all, its a great product and i use it everyday to wake up with. I recomend it if you have an ipod, and even if you dont!
