The Answer To Asthma : Plumicort By morrow1411 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Two years ago I was told that my son had asthma at age 5. The Dr's tried several different types of medications, and treatments with the same end results. About every month my son was back in the Dr's office having suffered from another asthma attack.

About a year ago my sons Dr. put my son on Pulmicort Respules. So far he has only had a hand full of asthma issues and none of them were serious. Pulmicort does have some side effects. My son catches colds eaiser then he used to, and he does suffer from a runny nose after using Pulmicort, however the side effects are mild.

Pulmicort Respules are in pre-measured doses, and are easy to use. You simply twist the top off, and pour the medication into the nebulizer cup. Pulmicort has keep my son from having a serious asthma attack for over a year, and for that we are both thankful.

Asthma is such a difficult condition, my oldest suffers from it. Sounds like this treatment is worth the try. Thanks for the info

I remember when we first got this med to use in the nebulizer with my son's xopenex. Unfortunately for us, the doctor told us to put them in together and it took FOREVER that way. Separately, it took 1/2 the time. Unfortunately for us it did not work for my son...we now use Advair for him. Glad it works for you all :0)
