The basic Slip n' Slide
By Mom2One onI think every one over the age of 25 years old can remember the Slip n' Slide.
Now days they make fancy water slides with characters on them. We tried some of them when my son was younger but they just didn't seem to have the ability to really get a good slide going.
Last summer we were over at my aunts. She said she was at the store and off a slip n' slide that was only $10. We were not sure how it would work but it was a hot day so we tried it out for the kids.
It was a basic yellow slide that you attached the garden hose to it. There are little holes throughout the slide that the water sprays out from.
Once it was all set up, the kids were really to go and GO THEY WENT! This slip n' slide was a huge hit. The kids went fast down the slide and really had a great time.
My uncles saw how much fun the kids were having and they all decided to try it out. How funny it was to see these grown men with their beer bellies sliding down the slip n' slide.
It worked though and every one had a great time.
I recommend forgoing those fancy slip and slides and just getting a basic model of one. It is definitely a lot of fun.

I remember the slide n slide...those were the days!
I agree that the basic slip and slides work just fine! My son had one that had more too it and really there wasn't enough water pressure to get everything to work the way it was supposed too.
I loved slip and slide! I remember I used to try to make my own, they were never quite the same lol.
I remember when these were all the rave when I was growing up!! Great summertime fun for everyone!
Great summer fun, and everyone gets exercise too!
A great toy that's been around for a while!
My kids loved this and I know of adults who still do! Great info, thanks
