When we got a puppy two years ago we decided to go ahead and get health insurance for him. We knew that any injury or illness for an animal can cost a lot of money. Our dog is a very large breed, and his health care expenses can be very high.

I looked at a lot of policies before deciding on Pets Best. It was the one that offered the best package for the best price. I was very happy with the options they provided and with the coverage my dog would be getting.

We did use our insurance this past year when our dog got a bad cut on his foot and needed to go to the emergency veteranarian, which can be very costly. We ended up saving about $800 with this insurance. All we had to do was fill out a short form and send the reciept from the vet. They paid the claim quickly and with no problems at all. I have heard horror stories from other companies who will harass you for months asking for x-rays and test results and all kinds of things before they will pay. We were really happy with the customer service at Pets Best.

We are renewing our policy for another year and will most likely continue to do so for the life of our dog, or until he is no longer eligible.

Pet insurance is a good idea. This is a good policy.
