The Best Little Greenhouse Ever By Jami on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Hi All, When you hear the term green house you would imagine a "house", but what do we use a green house for? To sprout out seeds right? Well I don't have room for a house,so I use this small compact sprouter to germinate and sprout my seeds.I found this Biosnaky Small Glass Seed Sprouter from Organics Australia Online. It is a very convient size to fit on the window in the kitchen. The lid is made from sturdy plastic with a strainer top to allow ventelation and a triangle stand so the seeds stay moist but not soaking in the water. I soak a small amount of what ever seeds I want to sprout and after they have swelled a bit I tilt it and leave it on the wimdow sill so in a few days they have sprouted. I either plant them, or sometimes I harvest them to have on a salad roll, YUMM. Other times I scoop in a bit of seeds, corn and legumes and I let them go soft, then just befour they sprout I will take them out and refridgerate them for the week as this is my food for the bird. I am finding many uses for this handy little green house. Cheers
