I think this is the best western of all time. The movie is called "LONESOME DOVE". I purchased this DVD about three months ago from Wal-mart. It was only ten dollars. Can't beat that for a good movie like this one. We've only had this movie three months and we've already watched it about three or four times. I would recommend this movie to anyone. Although it is a little too long. It is 373 minutes long. It has two disc's and it has four part's to the movie.
It has an awesome cast. Robert Duvall,Tommy Lee Jones, Danny Glover, Diane Lane, Anjelica Houston and a couple other's. It has special features included on the DVD. The making of the movie as well as Interviews with the actor's. That was interesting to watch. I have also heard that their's other Lonesome Dove movie's. But i haven't seen any, anywhere i go to get movies. I would like to find them if it is true though.
So, if you are into western's. This movie is for you. But even if you're not into western's, I'm sure you'd like it to. Because I'm not a big western fan and I love this movie.

I love Westerns ... I have always loved this movie. I saw it on TV when it was shown as a minseries.
I agree with you, this is a wonderful movie. Watched it on t.v. when it was first made and have watched it many times since then.
never seen it but the cast sounds good, i'll check it out
AMC showed this recently, but I didn't have time to watch it. It is incredibly long as you say, and the commercials made it impossible to set aside time to see it. I'll probably catch it on TV again someday.
