The Big Lebowski By Tifffany on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Big Lebowski came out in 1998 and stars Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey Lebowski, or The Dude as he is also known. The movie opens on Lebowski discovering that his rug has been stolen and is being held for ransom. The movie continues as a quest to find his rug, with the help of some of his bowling buddies, including John Goodman. The movie itself doesn't really follow a clear plot, as it's not abou tmuch besides the rug and bowling. Even though it does have this to tie it together, it doesn't stick too clearly to that and often goes off on tangents. The colors of the film are kind of drab, and the dialogue is somewhat witty but I still find it to be quite boring. Although this is not exactly a "mob movie", it still has that sort of feel to it in the way some of the characters are designed. I do not care for this movie and would not watch it again as it was pretty boring.

I Totally disagree. This film is one of my all time favs. That said, I fully appreciate the need of "acquired taste". That with a couple of "caucasians" and the storyline manages to really tie together, kinda like a room with a really great rug. "The Dude abides."
