The Black And White Album By maximum on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is the first album of The Hives that I have listened to. It opened me to the wonderful world of The Hives. The Black And White Album is their fourth album so they have been able to clean up and refine their sound. I fell in love with this album straight away. I hear Tick Tick Boom on the radio and went and got the album straight away. I liked the clean crisps sound of their high tempo rock, punk music. They are fairly different to many other bands I have listened to and this gives them the edge over them. This would have to be one of the better albums that has come out over the year. There are a few songs that I found to be a bit of a let down. Most of these were their experimental songs. A Stroll Through Hive Manor Corridors is an instrumental on a keyboard, which I'm not the biggest fan of. But apart from those few songs, I could listen to the album over and over.
