The Bluesy Sound Of Lizz Wright By Cyn Bagley on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I don't normally shop to much anymore with the gas prices and the soaring prices of groceries and other items, but when I found this CD from Lizz Wright, I had to have it.

On Saturday, we heard her voice on one of those weekend morning shows. She has a whiskey voice that you don't hear much any more. It is usually found in R&B music from the 1930s and 1940s. When I hear her sing, I feel like I am in one of the speakeasies, sipping a glass of wine. Did I say her voice was fabulous?

There is twelve tracks on this CD with songs such as "Coming home, "My Heart," and "I Idolize You." My two favorite songs on the album are "Coming Home," and "Another Angel."

So if you like that modern sound with a bluesy twist, you will really enjoy Lizz Wright as much as I do.

I've found two of my favorite CDs from bumping into the artist's music on a television show.
