Looking for the perfect gift that can't be returned? The Box Project is an organization that helps support families living in poverty. These families are faced with much painful dilemma during the holidays to not only feed the family but also supply gifts to others.
The Box Project allows anyone to help support one family (or more) during the holiday season by choosing to give a gift in their name. The sponsor after agreeing to support another family will get a list of items to be placed in a box to be sent to a specific needy family. Items all together usually total around $50-100. The boxes go directly the family in need, so you never need to worry where your money is going.
This is a simple but heartfelt gift to be given in another person's name – or given from a family to teach children about the practice of helping others. Plus, the ones in need in America will get the help.

This is an absolutely amazing idea. I absolutely love it! Thank you so much for sharing it. So many times during the holidays I like to do giving trees, but with the business of life in general the box project would probably be a better option for me because it would take less time to reach more families! What a wonderful idea. We always sponsor a family for Christmas at work. It is fun to go shopping for everyone in the family! We drop off the gifts and even groceries so that they could have a Christmas dinner.

What a great gift! We do something similar here, but we take the boxes ourselves. We do Santa for Seniors, Toys for Tots and we adopt different soilders on different holidays, it sure makes you feel great knowing you gave to someone who really appreciates it!
I love this idea! I always hate giving cash to an organization and then not knowing what really happens to it. I am keeping this in mind for this coming Christmas season, thanks for introducing it to me.
