The Buxton Bag By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This bag is advertised as being a great organizer, which is what I was most interested in. I prefer a shoulder bag that has a place for money, credit cards, cell phone, lipstick, my check book, and a few incidentals. Still, I want all this without the purse being too large and heavy. The T.V. commercial made this look to me like my dream purse.
The first regret I had upon ordering this purse was being stuck on the telephone for at least 10 minutes. Once you order the purse, they continue to prompt and tempt you to buy more at a greatly reduced price. Then they have other "bargains" to offer. If you hang up before they get through the spiel, your order is incomplete.
I waited until my purse was in ill repair before I ordered the Buxton Bag, so I was real anxious for it to arrive. It took over two months!
As far as design goes, I do like the bag. It sits comfortably on my shoulder and has a place for everything, though not quite as great as touted! Sadly, however, it is not holding up under everday use. The zippers are breaking. The purse has a lot of zippers and already, two of them are broken.
What I've learned from this experience is that I will never order something advertized on T.V. again.
Buxton As Advertised on T.V. Purchased at: Television Price: $29.99

You know I think company's like this need to be kept off the air and penalized for their shoddy business tactics. I've seen this Buxton advertised not only on TV, but in every subprime catalogue that clutters my mailbox. I'm so sorry you had to find out this way.
I seen this on TV, and was thinking about ordering one, really glad I didn't, Sorry you had to find out the hard way that it wasn't worth it. But thanks for the heads up so the rest of us are aware.
I have had some bad experiences with ordering stuff off of T.V. so I am a bit leery of them now. Thanks for sharing this information.
That is such a shame that it's already falling apart for you-I'm sure you were expecting more from the quality Buxton name.
2 months is too long to wait , anxious too... to see and use that bag, thanks for sharing your experience.
Shucks, Buxton used to be a good name in purse organizers. Back when I actually kept trying use one (and forever losing them), I had several Buxton clutches- they were my favorite.
