The SD1000 Canon PowerShot 7.1 Megapixel digital camera is a pretty good addition to Canon's already impressive lineup of digital cameras. This new one boasts a slim and stylish frame as well as a fairly large screen with a more powerful processor that handles things like red eye fix and face detection technology. The LCD on this camera is very bright and the resolution is particularly sharp. The images are by no means digital SLR quality, but for even the amateur photgropher, the quality and features this camera offers will be more than sufficient. I highly reccomend this as a gift to anyone looking to get into photography or as a present to yourself, if your confused about the mass of digital cameras out there.
