There are plenty of cat books around, but some of them really stand out, like this one. "The Cat Who Came for Christmas" was a treat, from the first page and to the last. It is a true story of a cat rescue that happened to take place on Christmas. When Mr. Amory followed a friend to rescue a sick dirty stray, he might have expected some scratches (which he did get), but he probably had no idea that he was about to receive one of the best Christmas gifts in his life. The cat he had brought home that night became his long time companion, turning from dirty-gray to snow-white gorgeous and from hiss & scratch to a special friend.

Not many people can write about cats like Mr. Amory does, looking into their mind, pointing out all kinds of curious and humorous things that would be easily missed by a casual observer. Being a cat lover myself, I truly appreciated it.
