The Civil War History Book By Geoffrey Ward By JOEY on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is just a super incredible history of the Civil War. I have always loved history and one day while working at Goodwill this wonderful book made its way in through donations. The Civil War has been one of the areas of history that I have been most interested in. I asked if I could buy the book and if memory serves me correctly I paid them ten dollars for it. It sold brand new for fifty dollars and is in mint condition.

The pictures and photography of the time in this book are second to none. I was actually shocked that the photography of the time was as advanced as it was. I am still amazed everytime I look through this book. This book is actually a companion to the P.B.S. television series. It has over 500 illustrations in it along with rare photographs, maps and more.

If one doesn't know much about the Civil war they sure will as they look throughout this great book. Most folks do not realize it but the Civil War in this country had more casualties than any war the United States has ever been in. This is quite simply the finast book on this historical conflict that I have ever seen and I have looked through many books on this subject. This would be an awesome resource for educators or anyone interested in this segment of United States history.
