I have to honestly say this book is like an insurance policy on your dogs. This is a book all dog owners should have on hand, it tells you everything you need to know about dogs to keep them healthy and happy.

This is a soft cover book with a laminated cover and larger pages, making it easy to find in a hurry if need be. This book was written by William J. Kay, DMV, Chief Of Staff at The Animal Medical Center with Elizabeth Randolph.

It tells you what to watch for from the eyes and ears, to weight and gait and everywhere in between. It is packed full of useful tips and advice, checklist and charts.

It will walk you through dog breeding, gestation, birthing, adolescence, adult hood and geriatric years of the canine. It also illustrates how to pick up and carry a dog according to size and weight and so much more.

You will see how to make a muzzle for your dog if need be, how to bathe and brush their teeth and everything is in common language, so no big words that you have no clue what they mean. ;)

This is almost like the Dr. Spock books, but for dog owners. I keep mine on hand all of the time and highly recommend this book to all dog owners, new or old.
