The Cooking Book-1,000 Recipes
By MrsSpy onI have a collection of cook books and 'The Cooking Book' by Brigitte Hafner is one of the books I purchased more than a year ago.I bought (on a discounted price) a copy of it for my niece which I gave to her as a gift during her kitchen tea party. After a week, I bought a copy for myself as well.
This cook book is a compilation of 1,000 everyday recipes from starters, main and side dishes as well as cakes and desserts. The recipe instructions are very easy to follow and there are a huge range of selection from vegetarian dishes to meat, seafood, and pastry.I especially love the starter sections where you can find light bite recipes for meal entrees or finger food.
This book comes with a booklet "the shopping lists" which summarizes all the ingredients for the recipes. So if you are going for shopping and you already have decided which of the recipes to cook or prepare then you already have a ready list of ingredients to bring. It also comes with a CD on some helpful kitchen tips and suggestions by the author.
Every photo in the book is a sure reflection of how passionate the author is when it comes to preparing simple but delicious and memorable recipes. This book comes also with a very colorful cover that serves almost as a decorative item for my lounge bookshelf as you can see on the photo hereto attached.
This is the first time I bought a cook book by Brigitte Hafner and I have also found few of her previous published books which I intend to purchase for my collection.

I want this book, I will have to look for it online or get my local bookstore to order one in for me, it would be so useful!
Thanks for suggesting this cookbook. I am going to look for it so I can check through it and see what wonderful recipes are included. I'm sure I can find something with 1000 recipes to look at!
