My West Bend three to four quart crockpot is one of the handiest appliances I own. Cooking in a crock pot is so easy, just put in the ingredients , turn it on, and forget about it. The thing I really like about this particular crock pot is that is large enough and oval shaped so it will hold a good size roast of chicken. I also really like the fact that the dish is removealbe from the heating unit. That makes it so much easier to clean. The one thing I don't like is if I put it in the dishwasher it never seem to remove all the cooked on food from it. Maybe they all do that , the food forms around the edges and that is the part that doesn't come clean. If I was it by hand it is not that diffifcult to clean. Just use a little light scrubber. It has 2 heat levels and the higher one will cook pretty quickly but if you are going to be gone all day or want to cook over night you should use the low setting.
