Well it is not a secret, I LOVE to read, and to my pleasure and delight I have passed this trait to my son. He has just come up to me and asked" what cha doin" , I was diong reviews on SR. Well he wants all my new friends at SR to know how much he enjoyed this sreies of books.
Andy Griffiths is an Australian author specializing in childrens books. Most of his stories are targeted to the newly confident reader ( new to chapter books).He has a number of series Including this one and "The Just Series". All of these book quickly grab the attention of the young reader and hold it through ont just that book , but usually 2-3 books. My son read The Bum series in 2 days.Any book that can keep the intrest of a young person, espically boys, for longer than the required 15 minutes a day has to be a great thing.These books are filled with humor and the kind of cheeky mischief and language you would hear at any given day in your or my kitchen. Boys are Boys, let's face it they find bums funny. So at this age if they have to read about a bum that ran away and tried to rule the world.....well atleast they are reading

The bum series sounds like a novel idea and certainly fascinating for the young reader. Glad your son inherited his Mom's love of reading, it can transport him into a wonderful world of make believe and creativity.

Haha that's true about boys & their attention spans. I think this sounds like a great gift for some cousins of mine!
