The Deer Farm And Exotic Petting Zoo By Dawn69 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
The Deer Farm and Exotic Petting Zoo is located at 478 Happy Hollow Lane in Sevierville, Tennessee. This is a nice one hundred forty acre zoo. There are deer, goats, a camel and prairie dogs. Most of the animals run around free. You can also buy food to feed the animals as well. I have gone to this petting zoo for three years now and there is always something new.
The prairie dogs were new to me last year. They are just so cute and they sit up and loo to see who is looking at them.
The cost is moderate at $7.50 and $4.50 for kids. This is not a lot of money but you can have a lot of fun. You will loose track of time while you walk around and pet all the different animals.
The directions are well laid out for you as you follow the signs back to the zoo. The road to the actual petting zoo is a dirt road.
I find this to be a great place to stop while on vacation. We all love the animals and it is a cheap day. If you are in Tennessee you should give this place a look see. Kids love the place and so will you.
Since you will be able to buy cups of food to feed the animals, you may want to take along handsanitizer or some kind of wet wipe. The animals will gobble down the food and leave their slobber behind and that can be very messy.

I love zoos! This one sounds like a great one and I like that you can still feed the animals. If I ever get to that area I will check it out :) PS ~ I love the prairie dogs too...they are so cute!
Nice to find a low key place where kids can really interact with the animals.
This sounds like a whole lot of family fun.
We have been to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area three times but not since having kids. I will look forward to checking out this Deer Farm especially with little ones. They love animals and I'm sure the venture will be a joy.
