The Fan Tail for Thick Hair
By moonbeam973 onWhen I saw this in Claire's, it looked interesting enough for me to pick it up and read the instructions. I am not one to spend a lot of time messing around with my hair, but this sounded like it could be used quickly and effortlessly. Or... maybe not. I've tried using it several times, and every time it frustrates me to no end. Here is a quick breakdown of the directions for getting this thing into your hair:
1.You put your hair up in a ponytail (This I was successful at).
2.You place this device on top of the ponytail (Okay, this I was also able to do)!
3.Now, you simply twist the device clockwise until it is "secure" (Well, I've never gotten past this step. I don't know if my hair is TOO thick, if I just can't get the Fan Tail positioned correctly, or if it is defective. It doesn't matter. I'm tired of trying to put it into my hair; I give up on it. It never gets snug enough into my hair that I can continue on with the rest of the steps, but it always gets tangled into my hair and is hard to remove).
If I had managed to complete step 3, I would then have pulled some of my ponytail through the middle of the device, secured small sections of hair under the hooks, and then teased my ponytail.
Texture = it's a sturdy piece of plastic. Fragrance = see texture. Hold = didn't work for me.

How disappointing!
That actually looks cool enough to frame and hang on the wall. At least it wouldn't be a total waste of money. Thanks for the review. I am always looking for things like this that work so I will make sure NOT to buy one.
