The Federalist Papers By ezkl on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Any individual who has any interest whatsoever in the discourse responsible for and integral to the creation of intensely powerful nations has a large hole in their personal library if they do not own a copy of The Federalist Papers by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. To say that what they were discussing was important to the foundational knowledge that has made the US the country that it is may be the worst kind of understatement. The level of discourse that is used to defend the Constitution of the United States was never paralleled before and has not been since. They were attempting to predict many of the issues that might arise within a free nation during the decade following the Declaration of Independence and in doing so created a large number of possible solutions and defenses against nay-sayers.

This book is an absolutely necessary read.
