The Firm Body Sculpting System
By sharara1 onThis was actually the first Firm excercise DVD that I purchased, and I can tell you this really works youout, if you stick with it.
There are three workouts in this DVD, and when I bought it, it came with their 'Fanny Lifter' - I also happened to have 2 sets of dumbbells already (the DVD does not come with dumbbells, even though the excersises call for them). I used 3 and 5lb dumbbels - although I think if you wanted to, you could certainly go higher depending on your strength and comfort level.
The three workouts focus on overal body sculpting, cardio, and abs - I alternated between three.
Even thought I was in relatively decent shape when I started with the DVD, it was tough for me to finish the entire workout, without resting multiple times. However, the more I did it, the more stronger my body became, until I was able to finish the entire workout. It was still challenging though. Especially if I did let a week go by with little or no exercise (due to the flu, or cramps, etc) - when I got back to the workout routine, I felt literally kick my butt to do the entire 50minutes!
I would recommend this DVD if you are willing to keep up the routine - it certainly works you out, but with any routine, if you are not diligent about it, you will not see results. But, if you get into the routine, and workout 4-5 times a week using this DVD, I believe you will feel results in a couple weeks, and see the results in your body in a month (this of course differs with each body type - I'm just telling you how long it took for me).
The fanny lifter is great for working out thighs and buttocks. I think that was one of the hardest areas for me to tone, and when I kept at it, I could definitely notice a difference - this was validated when I started fitting into pants that I hadn't worn in a while.
You should definitly consult with your doctor of course before starting the routine. If you are new to exercise, then this may not be the best product for you - they are challenging, and if you are not used to taking aerobics-type classes at your gym, these may prove to be a bit complicated and/or dangerous. So, please proceed with caution, and consult with your doctor on what level of excercise you should start out on, if you are not used to working out!
