The First Years On The Go Booster Seat By xshellyx on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Last summer I flew to Texas to visit some friends and took my 11 month old daughter with me. As any parent knows, traveling with a baby makes it impossible to pack light. I saw this booster seat in Target and knew it was just perfect for our trip.

This booster folds to less than 3" tall and weighs less than two pounds. There are straps to secure it to the back of a chair and around the bottom of the chair. The seat inflates to give more height and then you can squeeze out the air when you want to collapse it again. I had a bit of trouble getting all the air out but it still was flat enough that I could zip it closed. It fit great in my suitcase and now we use it when we are having dinner at my parents' house or anywhere else that does not have a highchair.

The only drawbacks are that it does not have a tray and it does not have a 5-point harness. The 3-point harness does an okay job of holding in my daughter but she is a climber and there is no way I'd leave her in this chair unattended. If she can get out of a shopping cart seatbelt cinched tight, she could probably wiggle out of this too!

It is easy to clean. The materials are easily wiped with a wet cloth and look good as new. This was a great solution for travel and now we are still using it when we are not near a highchair. There are other great boosters out there but none of them fold as small as this one.

Sounds like a good travel chair but I am leary of those without 5 point harness with my son who is all boy.

What a great idea! This sounds like a great piece of equipment to use for travel or any other place high chair or booster seats might not be available.

This is the coolest thing I have ever seen for the kiddos! WIshthey would have had something like this when my daughter was young.

This booster seat is so convenient - I especially like that you can get rid of the bulky, space taker high chair!
