The Flaming Lips is music you would want to play out of your toaster radio.It has the retro robot feeling with the modern beats of synthesizers and electric guitars.The lyrics are tripping and the songs are gripping. They are both silly and apocalyptic.

Clearly the single from this album is "The W.A.N.D." which you might have heard on a dell laptop commercial (thats how I first discovered the Flaming Lips).Since that day The W.A.N.D. has been one of my top favorite songs, and thatsa hard thing to decide for me.

The Flaming Lips are great for when I'm in the mood to listen to wacky and invigorating beats, or for when my downcast soul needs a little pick-me-up in the morning.So if you're looking for the only music that I would dare to call both extravagant and indie, or new age and retro, then go pick up this CD.
