Released during the holidays in 2006, The Fountain slipped under the radar from audiences at theaters. Now, released on DVD, the movie is definitely worth a rental. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky (other works include Pi) and stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. The story may seem confusing at first to many viewers but as the movie progresses it starts to makes sense and becomes deep and worthwhile. The film is very peaceful and emotional with stunning vivid imagery throughout. Hugh Jackman's emotional performance makes this film. Special features on the DVD include a making-of documentary, gallery stills, and the theatrical trailer. While The Fountain may have slipped from the audiences in the theaters, it is definitely a film worth checking out on DVD.

I liked Pi. Will have to check this one out. I had no idea about it.
