The Game of Life Twists and Turns
By Jessica Ne onI love this new game! It is so fun. Me and my husband play it all the time. I think it is a great improvement on the old version.
The game is for 2-4 people and everyone is assigned a "credit card". At each play the card goes into the game pod and it calculates your life points as well as money. It is so nice to no longer need to mess with counting money. This also has a downside if you are playing with a child and you are wanting them to get some sort of educational value out of the game. It is also not good for kids because it becomes clear that the more kids you have and the longer you stay in the "living it up" section the better. The person with the most life points wins. But for some adults wanting to have a good time playing a game, this is great.
I really like how you can choose how long you want to play. You can play for "10 to 99 years" and years equal turns. It is a little hard to get used to and I think that younger kids may not want to pay attention enough to really try to get the game. I even started to get frustrated after a while.
I don't think that it is a good idea for all games to go to the computerized version becauses I think that games should be a fun way for kids to LEARN. This game can also be a little overpriced and I have seen it range from $60 to $22 so definitely shop around if you want this game.

we love this game too! We play it all the time with our 8 year old
My family likes to play the original game of Life. We may have to see if we can find this version at a good price.
This looks like a fun game to play! It would probably make a great gift.
I never could enjoy this game because it is too much like... life!
