The film is about Mathew Kidman, a senior in highschool who has his whole life planned out. although he seems to have it all together he feels as if he is missing out on something very important. One night as he is taking out the garbage he see's his hot new next door neighbor which is the girl next door. the rest is somewhat downhill from there, they fall inlove and and he finds out she is an ex porn star.

i would mention Mathew's friends but their not really all that important to the story until the end. while this film is definently better than the average raunchy american pie film it still has its problems. the biggest problem is the miscasting of Mathew Kidman. he is suppose to be very smart, yet the ex porn star seems to have more inteligence than him. maybe its the fact that his mouth is open for about half the movie and that he doesnt seem to have a good excuse for anything. Another problem is that Mathew is too good looking to be on the same status level as Klitz and Eli.

On the other hand Danielle or "D" and her ex boss, Kelly are casted to perfection! Kelly, her former pornstar boss nails his part and is totally dead on and his acting couldn't be better.

while the film is overall good, the ending is so unexpected it ruins the film by quite a lot. the film ends where Matt's parents along with his student advisor see the porno film made at his highschool prom and actually like the idea of a more modern sex education film that they distribute it and he gets mega rich in the process and he gets the girl after all.

the girl next door is very enjoyable and has some pretty funny parts. if your a 13 year old horny boy trying to see some breasts, sorry to disapoint you but there isn't much too see. in fact you don't even get to see Danielle's breasts. in the whole movie there is a total of about 30 seconds where there is actual porn and when i say porn i mean only boobs.

not your average raunchy film and is worth seeing at least once or twice.
