The Girl Who Leap Through Time Manga

This is the graphic novel adaption of the 2006 animate movie " The Girl Who Leapt Through Time". The story is actually a sequel to a Japanese novel which made several live-action movies. In this version a girl name Makoto falls in her school science lab and finds out that she can "time leap". With this ability she goes back in time to finish a pop quiz she failed, and make an hour session of kareoke last for 10 hours. Things get complicated once she uses her power to help people, and she realises a time leap she did for herself hurts another student. Does this manga adaption keep up with it's film counterpart? Yes and no. It is very difficult to smoosh an entire film into a single volume, but they did try. Sadly they rushed some of my favorite moments in the movie, but at the same time they gave a little more back story on Makoto aunt and how Chiaki and Makoto became friends. I would recommened this graphic novel to someone who really really likes the movie. The movie version was so beautiful and I bawled my eyes out at the end of it but the manga seems to lack heart.
