The Girls Hit The Big Screen... By kristyh on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I was never one of those hard core, must set my Tivo or will die Sex and The City fans. I have watched a few rerun episodes and that is about it. The other day I seen this movie for rent at my local library and decided to rent it. I was pleasantly suprised. The movie is a continuation of four friends. There is Carrie, the writer who is finally going to be a bride. Samantha the wilder one who is now living in California. Charlotte who is happily married and has a daughter, and Miranda who is a busy full time mom trying to be happily married. This is the ultimate chick flick movie. My husband actually cringed when he seen I rented this ;o) The movie was good, but not as good as the show episodes I have seen.The show had wittier dialogue and funnier topics. This movie is about love, and friendship. I thought the movie was also a little long and drawn out. Although it was suprisingly better than I even thought it would be. I would recommend renting before you buy this one unless you are obsessed with this movie and just have to have it.

Cast:

* Sarah Jessica Parker.....Carrie

*Kim Cattrall....Samantha

*Kristen Davis....Charlotte

*Cynthia Nixon....Miranda
