The Go-Giver
By Lorianna onA business associate of mine gave me this book, recommending it as a quick, inspiring, and very helpful read. The full title of it is, The Go-Giver: A Little Story About A Powerful Business Idea. The authors are Bob Burg and John David Mann.
The title immediately caught my attention. I firmly believe that one of the greatest principles of business success is helping people. This little book states the same, challenging "go-getting" mindset of many business people. It is filled with examples of success achieved by those who had made serving others their first priority.
The book is what is called a business parable. It is written as a fictional story of Joe, a not very successful young salesman who could learn a few things, and an older man willing to teach him those things who becomes his mentor. As Joe learns and changes, the reader learns as well.
I like this book and the principles it is based on. If you want to try yourself in business and want to know what's the best way to go about it, I highly recommend it.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs I didn't really need any books but that didn't stop me from getting them anyway...can never have too much confidence or sound advice to go into business for yourself. Sounds like this book would be great for boosting a new entrepreneur's confidence. Thanks for the info
This book sounds like it has a wonderful and valuable message.
I think this book sounds wonderful I am not sure that it is something that I would typically pick up on my own, however I would read it now that I know the background of it.
