The Gonzo Way, a treasured possession.
By Chenault onI am a fan of Hunter Thompson's work, and when I first heard his widow, Anita Thompson wrote a book I knew I wanted a copy for my library. I checked out the owl farm blog and decided to purchase not one, but two copies of this short book, for the simple fact that it is autographed by Anita Thompson. I wanted one copy to read, and one copy to display in my library.
When my books finally arrived I was over joyed and I began reading The Gonzo Way immediately. Granted, this isn't a Hemmingway or HST, but it is a lovely work of art. For Mrs. Thompson's first book, it is nicely written, and a prized addition to my collection. I am glad to have purchased two copies and supported Owl Farm. Basically in this book the writer shares the 'rules' of the Gonzo way of life and writing. It is a lovely memorial to her late husband, and American icon, who lived and died by his own set of rules.
If you aren't a fan of HST, you probably won't have any reason to read or purchase this short book, but if you are a fan, it is well worth the fifteen dollars, for the autograph of Anita Thompson alone.
