The Grilling Season By Diane Mott Davidson By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The Grilling Season is one of a series of culinary mysteries written by Diane Mott Davidson. These books center around Goldy Schulz, owner and operator of Goldilocks Catering.
Goldy's ex-husband, John Richard Korman, nicknamed The Jerk, plays a big role in this novel. While Goldy is busy doing her catering jobs, she also has to deal with interference from her ex. Of course, no murder mystery would be complete without the murder, and we have one in this novel. John's current girlfriend is murdered, and Goldy knows her abusive ex-husband would probably be capable of doing the nasty deed. Goldy must still have dealings with John because of her son, Arch. John happens to be his father. Now Goldy is faced with the prospect of trying to clear her ex-husband's name, or just letting him stew in his own juices.
The Grilling Season is yet another entertaining novel in the Goldy Culinary Mysteries. I have enjoyed every one that I've read so far, including this one.
