The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on DVD

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a movie starring Martin Freeman, Zooey Deschanel, and Mos Def.It is a somewhat faithful adaptation of the classic science fiction comedy written by Douglas Adams.The story starts on the last day the Earth is in existance, and a man named Aurthur Dent (Freeman) is visited by his friend Ford Prefect (Def), who he finds out is an alien with advance knowlege of the Earth's demise.They hitch a ride on one of the ships that was sent to demolish the Earth, and then end up on another ship.One of the flight crew on that ship happens to be Trillian (Deschanel), a fellow earthling with whom he spoke at a costume party, but never called back after vowing he would.I find this to be one of the funniest movies I've seen recently, and it is full of my favorite type of humor, which is very dry and very sarchastic.I also really enjoy all of the perforamnces by the actors mentioned, as well as other stars of the movie, including John Malkovitch and Allen Rickman.
