The Imagineering Field Guide To The Magic Kingdom By luvthatmouse on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I am really glad the Disney company decided to create these series of books. They are little 7.5 x 3.9 x 0.5 inches and 7 ounces. They are also only 128 pages, but what is packed in this little book is great! Any fan of the Disney parks will love this book. It starts out explaining what an Imagineer is (they design the Disney parks, bulidings and shows.) It also tells you some of the divisions in Imagineering itself (lighting design, graphic design, Special Effects, Master Planning, R and D, etc..) It then goes on to explain how the Magic Kingdom was developed, conceived and built. Wonderful pictures and concept art. Small enough to take to the park and observe what they are writing about in the book! Same price on Amazon as in the Disney parks.
