The intelligent woman's magazine

I have been reading Marie Claire for over a year and eagerly wait for an issue every month. Marketed as 'the intelligent woman's magazine', MC sure is more than just that..I find it to be a thinking woman's magazine. While most periodicals targeted at women are restirected to beauty, health and fashion tips, Marie Claire stands apart with exclusive articles about women who have made a difference in fields other than beauty or fashion.

That does not mean MC's fashion pages are dowdy. It brings together trends and designers from all over the world, suggests classic as well as modern trends in a classy manner. A column I like is 'First Person' where women across the globe are invited to share their experiences and valuables lessons from life. One of the recent issues had a 'First Person' article titled 'Confessions from a Sex Shop' that described explicitly what a woman working in an adult store had to go through, concluding with her appreciating everything the job had given her. Such feel-good articles have made MC more than just a magazine to me. The next time you're at the airport and have time to spare, I'd suggest you pick up a copy of Marie Claire.
