While The Who's first live album, Live At Leeds, was released prior to the massive success of Who's Next, The Kids Are Alright highlights some of the groups best performances from their songs up until 1978. This sounds like an album that is surely a must have, and it would be if the audio quality wasn't so hit or miss. One song will sound amazing, and the next will be absolutely horrid quality. It makes one wonder how some of these songs actually were released on this album. Some songs such as My Generation, Magic Bus, I Can't Explain and other appear on both Live at Leeds and The Kids Are Alright, however even those songs are better on Leeds. The audio quality really brings down this album that seems so promising. Live At Leeds remains the definitive live album for Who fans.
