The Kingdom By Rae777 By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Kingdom was directed by actor/director Peter Berg (Hancock) and written by Matthew Carnahan (Lions For Lambs). This movie stars Jennifer Garner, Jamie Foxx, Jason Bateman, Ashraf Barhom and Chris Cooper.

This movie is another one in a trend of films being made about the government, military, CIA and terrorism. The Kingdom is the story of a group of American workers killed in Saudi Arabia by terrorists. One of the people killed was a government agent. A group of fellow government agents want to go over and find out what terrorist group is responsible for the deaths of these Americans. The problem is the officials over there want to handle it themselves and would prefer the U.S. stay out of it. Foxx, Garner, Cooper and Bateman play FBI agents who manage to convince some higher ups to let them go into the Middle East to solve this attack. However, it quickly becomes a matter of finding a group of terrorists before the terrorists find them.

This is, in my opinion, one of the better films made on this subject. If you like political thrillers I think you will like this movie. It's a heart pounding action filled movie.

This movie is rated R for graphic violence and language.
