The Know It All by A.J. Jacobs is a chronicle of a man who decides to read the encyclopedia cover to cover. He is ont he quest to become the smartest man in the world.

The book is structured much like an encyclopedia, meaning each chapter is a letter of the alphabet. For each letter he selects different subjects he read about and his thoughts and experiences with that particular entry. Throughout each entry, the author also interjects his own personal stories and somehow ties them to that particular entry.

The book is highly entertaining and quite humorous. The author's personal stories add much of the humor to the book. Coupled witht he humor, the book is also very educational. You will learn about many interesting subjects and can make for interesting conversation.

I highly recommend this book for its unique premise and educational and entertaining content.
